The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, financial performance, and completion of assigned construction projects. This role oversees all aspects of project operations including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, contract administration, client relations, risk management, and field coordination to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards.
The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams and is accountable for achieving project objectives while maintaining strong client relationships and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Lead all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout activities.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules and recovery plans.
- Manage owner contracts, subcontract agreements, procurement activities, and vendor relationships.
- Lead owner, subcontractor, consultant, and internal coordination meetings.
- Oversee project staffing, resource allocation, and operational planning activities.
- Direct and mentor Interns, Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
- Monitor project safety, quality control, production performance, and operational efficiency.
- Manage project risks, change orders, claims, and dispute resolution processes.
- Conduct regular project site visits to review progress, field operations, safety compliance, and quality standards.
- Maintain strong client relationships and support repeat business opportunities through exceptional project delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or another relevant field.
- Six (6) to ten (10) years of construction management experience.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with Senior Project Managers, Project Executives, Superintendents, and General Superintendents.
- Demonstrated experience with project startup and mobilization, including establishing clear managerial and administrative responsibilities within the project team.
- Strong leadership skills with experience assisting in the management of field personnel to ensure efficient operations and successful project performance.
- Ability to foster a positive team environment, maintain strong morale, and promote collaboration across project teams.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to support the professional development of team members at varying experience and career levels.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functions.
- Experience developing effective presentations and project-specific content for qualification packages.
- Proficiency with computer-based CPM scheduling programs.
- Proficiency with construction management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills with the ability to manage competing project priorities.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move office products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends as required by project schedules and operational demands.
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites and regional offices as needed to support project operations and business objectives.
