Project Manager - Water & Sewer Salary: $120,000+ (based on experience and formal education) Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong Water & Sewer background to oversee underground infrastructure and civil construction projects in the Edmonton area. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large-scale civil projects, preparing estimates and bids, coordinating project execution, and maintaining project budgets from start to finish.   • Manage water, sewer, and civil construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Prepare accurate project estimates, bid submissions, and tender packages.
  • Perform quantity and material take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate and schedule large-scale construction projects to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Track project budgets, costs, forecasts, and overall financial performance.
  • Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and profitability.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, site supervisors, and internal project teams.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, progress reports, and project closeout.
  • Promote and enforce company health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in civil construction.
  • Proven experience managing Water & Sewer infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive experience preparing estimates, bids, and tender submissions.
  • Experience coordinating and scheduling large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost analysis, and cost tracking.
  • Experience performing quantity and material take-offs.
  • Proficiency with Bid2Win is required.
  • Strong understanding of underground utility construction methods.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Experience working on municipal infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
  • Experience with additional estimating or project management software is considered an asset.
