Job Summary:As a Project Manager, you will work in a team environment to support the successful completion of fire sprinkler system installations. Work will include aligning resources on your project, including lifts, materials, and manpower, while ensuring our field leaders are put in the best position for success. You will play a vital role for VFPG as the face of the project to the General Contractor or end user. VFPG places strong emphasis on individual training and development, with excellent opportunities for future advancement for those driven to excel.
Responsibilities:- Team player; holds themselves accountable first and before other team members.
- Serve as the primary customer contact and the "face" of VFPG throughout your projects.
- Schedule and coordinate field labor with the superintendent to ensure the project timeline is met.
- Review drawings to ensure designs meet project requirements.
- Complete monthly billings while tracking project financials weekly and completing monthly project status reports.
- Prepare and manage RFIs and change orders to maintain project profitability.
- Ensure compliance with VFPG and customer-specific safety plans.
- Attend all required project meetings and maintain effective communication with clients.
- Ensure all project labor and job costs are allocated accurately.
Requirements:- 5 years of project management experience required, specializing in fire protection.
- Proven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Ability to work independently with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to professionally communicate with all levels of leadership, customers, and employees.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to be resourceful and proactive when completing duties.
- Willingness to assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
- Education: B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent
