Position SummaryThompson Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of engineering projects across a broad range of civil engineering disciplines. This individual will manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and client relationships while leading multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Candidates with experience in transportation, site civil, coastal engineering, hydrology and hydraulics (H&H), water resources, federal, municipal, land development, or related infrastructure markets are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Manage engineering projects from planning and design through construction.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
- Lead project meetings with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
- Review engineering deliverables for quality and compliance.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for repeat business and new client development.
- Mentor engineers and technical staff while promoting professional development.
- Support proposal preparation, project pursuits, and strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience managing projects within one or more of the following disciplines:
- Site Civil
- Transportation
- Water Resources
- Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H)
- Coastal Engineering
- Federal Infrastructure
- Municipal Engineering
- Land Development
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and client relationship skills.
- Experience with business development and proposal preparation is preferred.
