Full Job Description
Celerity Integrated Services, a telecommunications/construction company located in Quakertown, PA is seeking a full-time Project Manager to be part of its Fiber Optic Splicing department. This position is directly responsible for running multiple jobs within their department and managing and overseeing all resources necessary to complete each job on time and within budget while meeting customer expectations. Resources include, but are not limited to, labor, materials, sub-contractors, and equipment. The Project Manager will work under the direction and assistance of the department manager to ensure success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform Bid Walks, attend customer meetings and/or speak with customers about upcoming projects, as needed.
  • Assist Bidding &Estimating with the compilation of Level of Efforts (LOEs) for bids including the required manpower, subcontractors, equipment, material and time needed to complete the project.
  • Coordinate the required manpower, subcontractors, equipment, material, lodging, fueling and staging needed for upcoming projects.
  • Work with Field Superintendents to oversee the activities of manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors for the successful completion of each project per the job cost budget.
  • Ensure all safety protocols, procedures and initiatives are met on job sites.
  • Review the documentation of manpower, equipment usage, materials, subcontractors and completed tasks related to the budget at the cost code and cost class level.
  • Seek alternate completion methodologies that would outperform the as-bid model. Share findings with the Bidding & Estimating manager for creation of internal change orders.
  • Notify the Department Manager and Bidding & Estimating of any Change Orders. Assist with the compilation of the LOE for the Change Order and discusses it with the customer to obtain approval.
  • Review Daily Performance Reports (DPRs) for accuracy and stay abreast of project performance. Make any necessary corrections to time records for approval by the Department Manager.
  • Compare project progress against job budget.
  • Take corrective measures from information gleaned from DPRs and job budget to ensure projects remain on budget.
  • Complete the necessary documentation for project close out.
  • Approval of project related invoices.
  • Address any customer related issues that arise during the course of a project. Escalate issues to the Department Manager if necessary.
  • Assess the talent of field personnel and provides input to the Department Manager.
  • Assist the Department Manager with the invoicing of projects.
  • Take part in the department's on-call rotation. This includes dispatching crews and guiding and acting as a go-between the NOC (Network Operations Center) and the field.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the Department Manager.


Education and Experience:
  • BA in related field preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
  • 5+ years of telecommunications experience in ISP/OSP.
  • Must be able to manage multiple aggressive job schedules.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications and scopes of work.
  • Microsoft Office 365 proficiency required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is primarily an office position with some need to travel to work sites. Monday-Friday.
