Full Job Description
Cianbro Fabrication and Coatings is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Pittsfield, Maine.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer multiple structural steel fabrication projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Coordinate project turnover meetings with the sales and estimating teams to ensure seamless project launch.
  • Develop, set up, and manage project budgets for both lump sum and unit cost contracts.
  • Prepare detailed work packages for production and oversee all aspects of project execution from initiation through close out.
  • Monitor project performance, including cost tracking, invoicing, and change order management.
  • Establish, maintain, and update project schedules to meet contractual and operational requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors, providing in depth project knowledge and clear communication.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and compliant project documentation and files.
  • Apply a proactive project management approach to identify and mitigate risks and prevent common project challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with production teams to communicate scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, energy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in structural steel fabrication project management and/or production.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret design drawings, project specifications, contracts, codes, and regulatory documents.
  • Working knowledge of structural steel fabrication production processes.
  • Proficiency in managing project costs, change orders, and invoicing.
  • Ability to understand and communicate project scope requirements to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Solid mathematical skills, including planar geometry, solid geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Working knowledge of AASHTO, AWS D1.5, SSPC/AMPP, and applicable state agency codes and work practices preferred.
  • Familiarity with Powerfab software preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and employees.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project meetings as needed.
