Job Description:
This position is located in Nashville, TN. The position supports the Department (TDEC) as the Procurement Project Manager for the entire agency.
The position will serve as the technical liaison between TDEC and the Central Procurement Office (CPO) assisting in the development of proposals for bids while maintaining the interests of the State's Procurement policies and procedures.
This position will administer procurement activities from development and implementation of the sourcing strategy through award of the contract, which includes identifying agency needs, drafting solicitations, aid CPO in executing procurements and aid CPO in the state evaluation.
The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple schedules.
This position requires excellent project and time management capabilities.
Responsibilities
Develops and assists TDEC divisions in solicitation specifications based on internal and external sources of information
Possesses and demonstrates strong knowledge of policies, procedures and execution strategy for multiple solicitation methods including Request for Proposal, Request for Qualification, and Request for Information.
Regularly represents TDEC and the division of Grants and Contracts while speaking with internal and external stakeholders
Provides strategic advice and consultation to agency procurement and program staff to determine the proper methods of procurement as well as strategy development and execution of procurement activities
Qualification
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and 5 to 10 years of business, procurement, and/or contract management experience
