About The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Project Manager, Software & Robotics to streamline our development, keep our engineering teams aligned, and drive execution. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product, you will start by deeply embedding with our core software engineering team. You will own the day-to-day administrative and operational rhythm of software delivery—running sprint planning, managing backlogs, tracking timelines and roadmaps, and communicating these initiatives to other groups in Wonder.

As you master our software delivery process, your scope will naturally expand. You will have the opportunity to branch out into broader product-level project management, taking ownership of cross-functional timelines and coordination for the overall Infinite Makeline Product.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Own Software Sprint Lifecycles: Establish and run the day-to-day cadence for the software engineering team, including sprint planning, sprint kickoff and daily standups, backlog maintenance, and retrospectives.

  • Manage Timelines & Track Progress: Translate product milestones into detailed software execution schedules, ensuring day-to-day task assignments directly align with the overarching master timeline.

  • Architect Admin & Tooling Frameworks: Keep our project management tools (Jira, Confluence) meticulously organized, updated, and reflective of true project status, making sharing status updates with other internal teams easy and clear.

  • Bridge to the Infinite Makeline Product: Gradually scale your scope to support the broader Infinite Makeline Product, managing cross-functional timelines that connect software deliverables with hardware and operational milestones.

  • Embrace a High-Ownership Mindset: Bring a "no task too small" mentality to the team, seamlessly wearing whatever hat is required to handle administrative hurdles, update documentation, and keep the team moving forward.

  • Impact Beyond Software: After mastering the project management of our software development team, potential added scope can include: managing culinary testing on the Infinite Makeline and tracking results, bridging communication with different groups at Wonder and owning documentation of training materials or new feature roll-outs, and other fast moving projects that could use the expertise of a dedicated project manager.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Technical Background: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or systems-focused field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, or Human-Computer Interaction), or equivalent professional experience. You need the ability to comfortably engage in technical discussions regarding tech stacks, API dependencies, and how software interacts with physical systems.

  • 3–5+ Years of Professional Experience: We are looking for an execution-focused individual with hands-on experience facilitating engineering workflows, coordinating sprint cycles, or managing technical projects.

  • Agile & Scrum Proficiency: Solid understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies, with a passion for keeping engineering processes structured and efficient.

  • Tooling Precision: hands-on familiarity with modern project management tools (Jira & Confluence), with the ability to maintain and clean up ticketing backlogs. Experience with Excel and putting together project timeline visuals to share with external groups.

  • Organizational Excellence: Sets the bar high and is excited to stay organized and does not allow timelines or documentation to be unclear or hard to find.

  • Strong Communication & Collaboration: The ability to speak "software" fluently, bridging the gap between highly technical engineers and higher-level project timelines.

  • Curiosity for Robotics: A strong interest in working on a complex physical product where software directly controls robotic machinery and automation.

Massachusetts Base Salary: S128,000 - $135,500.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package including equity and 401K. Additionally, we provide multiple medical, dental, and vision plans to meet all of our employees' needs as well as many benefits and perks that are not listed.

A Final Note

We look forward to hearing from you! We'll contact you via email or text to schedule interviews and share information about your candidacy
