GFT is seeking a Project Manager – Software & Digital Solutions to support a variety of software development, application implementation, and digital solution projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region. This role follows a hybrid work model out of our Richmond, VA office.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Independently manage assigned projects in accordance with established project management and Quality Management System requirements, proactively identifying and completing required project management activities.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, client relationships, and team coordination.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings; prepare agendas and detailed meeting minutes.
  • Review and validate project deliverables for completeness and compliance.
  • Direct cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, technical leads, and SMEs.
  • Develop and distribute regular status reports.
  • Monitor project performance and track against timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain logs for action items, issues, and risks.
  • Understand, apply, and ensure compliance with established project management and Quality Management System processes and standards.
  • Resolve project-related issues in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
  • Contribute to drafting task orders, proposal development, and business development.

What you bring to our firm:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S., or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive project management experience, including demonstrated experience managing software development and/or application implementation projects, preferably in consulting or professional services. Candidates with significant experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects may be considered at a Senior Project Manager level.
  • Current PMP certification or demonstrated progress toward obtaining PMP certification with a defined plan for completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage project responsibilities, prioritize required activities, and proactively identify and address project needs.
  • Strong ability to engage with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of software development and application delivery processes.

What we prefer you bring:

 

  • Experience with state or local government, particularly in transportation.
  • Familiarity with GIS and geospatial technology.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience managing software projects using Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or other Agile certification.

Compensation:

The Salary range for this position is $105,000-$160,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
