Your Opportunity

Stantec's Tallahassee office has an exciting new opportunity for a Project Manager, Site / Civil Engineering. In this role, you'll manage a range of fascinating projects including site development, municipal utilities, parks and trails, and federal facilities. This position may be based in Tallahassee, Tampa, Orlando or Jacksonville, Florida.

Key clients for our Tallahassee office include the City of Tallahassee, Leon County, electrical power systems through North Florida, architecture firms, and others. Additionally, the Tallahassee office is one of Stantec's key centers of expertise for federal projects, especially those serving the US Department of Defense. This position offers career development, the opportunity to expand the practice, and has the potential of participation in our leadership recognition program.

The ideal candidate will come with a background in supporting or leading the civil/site engineering aspects for a variety of projects, with a foundation of strong engineering/design skills. He/she will have been exposed to the entire project delivery process, including marketing/business development, client interaction, project management, internal team building and hands on design/engineering supervision. #CommDevFlorida

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Execute project delivery and direct supervision over the output of professional and technical staff on projects.
  • Lead, coordinate, and delegate proposal, contract, administration, and project management efforts.
  • Collaborate with other internal disciplines and sub-consultants.
  • Professional engineering design and project oversight including Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
  • Infrequent travel for meetings and supporting teams in other offices.
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced staff.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Demonstrated project management and business development experience to nurture existing clients and develop new multi-disciplined opportunities to expand the practice including developing, recommending, and introducing innovation to our clients' projects.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with project teams as well as clients, including representing clients during public meetings and events.
  • Capability with AutoCAD / Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam are desired.
  • Efficient project management of multiple concurrent projects.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 10+ years of progressive civil engineering design experience with an emphasis in land development / site development.

Note: Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work. Hybrid work schedule available, with minimum 3 days per week in the office.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
