This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager & Seller/Doer-Natural Resources and Environmental Permitting for our Brentwood, TN, Canton, MS, or Birmingham, AL offices to lead growth for our natural resources and environmental permitting practice area. This role combines technical project management skills with business development responsibilities. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing each phase of natural resources assessment and permitting, while actively engaging clients and developing new business opportunities.
Your Impact
  • Lead and manage natural resources and environmental permitting projects, focusing on technical excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute project plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Coordinate field assessments, sampling programs, and report preparation for natural resources assessments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify new business opportunities, prepare proposals, and lead presentations to prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety protocols during all project phases.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in ecology, natural resources, environmental engineering, environmental planning, or a related discipline (MS preferred) and has 7-10+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated success in client development and business growth within the environmental consulting industry.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state local environmental permitting (e.g., CWA Section 404/401,) and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing and proposal development.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Flexibility to travel based on project-specific or business development requirements.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
