The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering cybersecurity engagements with a focus on core AHEAD security offerings including identity and data security. This role manages scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, resources, and client communications across security assessments, implementations, migrations, remediation efforts, and managed-service transition activities. The Project Manager partners with engagement leads, architects, engineers, client stakeholders, and partner teams to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned to project plans
Responsibilities- Act as engagement lead on customer engagements
- Communicate project roles and responsibilities to project team members while planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing project objectives.
- Enforce policies and procedures for each project
- Achieve operational objectives by:
- Contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
- Preparing and completing action plans
- Implementing production, productivity, quality, and client-service standards
- Determining system improvements
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, quoting services, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Lead delivery of cybersecurity projects in identity, access, and data protection domains, including assessments, design, implementation, migration, remediation, and operationalization efforts.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Coordinate project execution across consultants, architects, engineers, customer stakeholders, and partner vendors to ensure delivery quality, milestone attainment, and issue resolution.
- Manage RAID logs, project dependencies, change control, decision tracking, and executive status reporting for security engagements.
- Drive client governance cadences, including kickoff sessions, status meetings, risk reviews, steering updates, and acceptance/sign-off checkpoints.
- Ensure projects follow repeatable delivery standards, documentation requirements, evidence collection expectations, and quality gates.
- Partner with technical leads to align delivery plans to security controls, testing, cutover, validation, and post-implementation support needs.
- Manage multiple concurrent security engagements and shared resources across pods or workstreams while maintaining schedule and risk governance.
- Enhance departmental and organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Develop budgets and track budget expenses.
- Provide performance management feedback for project aligned resources based on project observations.
- Staff projects appropriately and supervise team members.
- Manage team members in a proficient and effective manner

Requirements- 3-5 years of prior project management and planning experience.
- Possess excellent organizational, presentation, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage client expectations including in areas of scope, schedule, budget, and satisfaction.
- Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience managing cybersecurity, IAM, or data security projects in consulting, professional services, or enterprise IT environments.
- Working knowledge of security delivery lifecycles, including assessment, design, implementation, testing, remediation, cutover, and transition to operations.
- Familiarity with identity security concepts such as IAM, IGA, PAM, MFA, SSO, federation, RBAC, SoD, service accounts, and secrets management.
- Familiarity with data security concepts such as data discovery, classification, labeling, DSPM, DLP, retention, insider risk, and governance.
- Ability to manage technical and business stakeholders through security risk, compliance, and control-related decisions.
- Experience creating executive-ready status reporting, action plans, issue escalations, and customer-facing documentation.
- Preferred: PMP, CSM, ITIL, Security+, CISSP familiarity, or equivalent security/project delivery credentials.
$140,000 - $170,000 a year
The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings ("OTE") for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
