Project Manager/Project Engineer to lead the development, execution, and management of projects, and provide operational support on M&E engineering matters (Mechanical & Electrical).
What you will doAs the
Project Manager/Project Engineer, you will:
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and to industry standards.
- Maintain and manage a projects list, quote projects, and execute projects.
- Oversee project startups, manage commissioning processes and support operations and maintenance across various project sites.
- Interpret and review design drawings while coordinating with architects, engineers and other stakeholders.
- Provide operational support to our Facility Management teams with regards to engineering and project management
This role requires excellent communication, strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
How you will do itProject Management- Develop a scope of work for various projects, ranging in size and complexity.
- Quote, price, and track projects throughout the project lifecycle
Project Startup & Commissioning- Lead startup, testing and commissioning of M&E systems to ensure functionality meets design specifications.
- Develop and implement commissioning checklists and protocols with contractors, engineers and suppliers.
Project Coordination & Communication- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers and construction teams to align project goals, schedules and deliverables.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders (internal teams, external vendors and clients) for seamless project execution.
Operations & Maintenance Support- Provide oversight for ongoing operations and maintenance of M&E systems, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
Design Review & Documentation- Interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection drawings.
- Provide feedback, updates, and revisions to ensure designs meet operational and cost objectives.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including schedules, budget reports, and progress updates.
- Develop maintenance operating procedures, standard operating procedures and emergency operating procedures to ensure operational continuity and avoiding operational risks.
- Reviewing operational sites to identify and implement opportunities for enhancing engineering, energy, and operational efficiencies.
Resource & Budget Management- Develop project plans, scopes, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project costs, manage risks, and initiate corrective actions to ensure profitability and efficiency.
Quality & Safety Compliance- Adhere to industry standards and local, state, and federal building codes.
- Promote a strong safety culture and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
What we look forEducation & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on project management experience in M&E with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Technical Skills- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with project design and management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, BIM) or similar tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of M&E systems, codes, and commissioning processes.
Project Management Expertise- Strong ability to develop project scopes, manage schedules, and control budgets.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams during startup and commissioning.
Soft Skills- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong leadership and team-building aptitude, with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making under tight deadlines.
Additional Requirements- Willingness to travel domestically to project sites as needed.
- LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainability best practices is desirable.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $99,300 - $132,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
