Summary:Provide overall project management direction on various heavy civil construction and infrastructure projects for the Federal Government and private industry clients. Types of projects include vertical construction, building renovations/improvements, wet utilities such as water transmission lines, sanitary sewer pipeline, and storm drain improvement projects as well as demolition. Personal initiative and critical thinking skills will be essential to complete job duties with minimal guidance. The position is deadline driven, and requires the individual establish priorities and take ownership of projects, work efficiently, and provide a consistent level of high quality in a high-pressure environment. This position must demonstrate innovation, excellent communication skills, and a high level of customer service.
The Salary range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000/year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
- Review and approve detailed project/component level Manage scope, schedule, and budget on small to medium-sized projects ($1M - $10M).
- Manage and oversee heavy and civil engineering construction projects involving overall management of field operations, client interaction, deliverable review, and approvals.
- Develop and define acceptance criteria for all project phases/key Close monitoring of critical milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure project stays aligned to the strategic goals and delivers the planned/stated
- Provide technical guidance, support, coordination, and oversight to project staff preparing written project documentation.
- Collaborate with Ahtna personnel including Management.
- Identification analysis of all project risks and preparation for risk response
- Manage all communications between internal stakeholders, clients and third
- Align all the project components and groups to ensure project Identify and ensure resolution of all project level issues.

- Prepare and review proposals in accordance with the Request for Proposal, including subcontractor scopes of work for bids, cost estimates, and technical narrative for project management and construction approaches, and past qualifications.
- Perform project take-offs via electronic means and methods to ensure an accurate cost estimation for projects.
- Sourcing suppliers and subcontractors, acting as a liaison maintaining communication between all companies to ensure correct and competitive pricing.
- Authoring and/or reviewing contract deliverables including, but not limited to, work plans, safety plans, quality control plans, and reports.
- Ability to travel to various sites to conduct due diligence and project This would include travel outside of California and some project or site visits could last several days, as business needs dictate.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Physical/Environmental Sciences, or another relevant field of
- Experience may be substituted for education on a 1:1 basis
- Two (2) years of relevant work experience.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record, able to drive a company
- Prior experience managing and estimating commercial construction.
- Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DOD, DHS, FAA, ) to obtain security access badges.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, , and their impact on project activities.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
- Adept at explaining technical aspects of fieldwork to internal and external clients verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Primevera 6, PDF Converter Professional, Bluebeam REVU, RSMeans, and local, state, and federal databases.
- Professional Registration such as PE, PG, or PMP PMP or Construction Management Certification
- Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures
