Job Summary:
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO). Our PMO team is collaborative, approachable, and focused on practical solutions that move the organization forward. We thrive on curiosity, creative problem-solving, and building strong partnerships across the system.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in project management—especially in healthcare or similarly complex environments—who wants to do meaningful work in a mission-driven setting. You’ll manage a wide variety of projects that strengthen operations, drive measurable outcomes, and directly support our organizational strategy. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with the ability to work remotely up to three days per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead multiple projects across departments—including IT, IS, Pharmacy, Imaging, Finance, strategic initiatives, workflow improvements, and site transitions.
  • Contribute to large-scale, system-wide initiatives alongside fellow PMO team members.
  • Develop and manage project scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify and coordinate resources needed for project success.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration.
  • Lead project teams, mentor stakeholders, and proactively resolve conflicts.
  • Apply project management methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, etc.) to ensure strong execution and outcomes.

What You Bring

  • Proven success managing projects and leading teams, ideally within healthcare or another dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex group dynamics and build consensus.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite) and organizational methods.
  • Understanding of project management frameworks (PMBOK, PRINCE2, etc.) and the ability to apply them flexibly.
  • A collaborative, curious mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • PMP certification and/or a bachelor’s degree in a related field are valued but not required.
  • Experience in an Epic-integrated system is valued but not required.
  • Ability to work independently while engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
