Location: 115 Delhi Street, Guelph, ON

Position Summary:

The Project Manager will play a key role in the successful planning and execution of both operational and major capital construction/renovation projects at Guelph General Hospital. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Project Manager will collaborate closely with the redevelopment and facilities teams, as well as internal departments, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.

This role is responsible for leading all phases of project delivery-from concept development through to completion-ensuring alignment with hospital priorities, compliance with healthcare regulations, and adherence to budget and schedule constraints.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing capital construction or redevelopment projects, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting, is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an asset.
  • Experience in procurement, contract administration, and working with consultants and contractors.
  • Knowledge of healthcare infrastructure standards and Ministry of Health capital planning processes.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and tools such as AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and MS Visio.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
