Full Job Description
Performs professional, administrative, and technical work in a wide variety of capital improvement and building projects. Responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating a large number of projects from inception through completion. Works closely with users, consultants, regulatory agencies, and contractors; serves as the owner's representative, oversees all municipal coordination, including relations, permitting, budgeting, contract management, and project close-out. The position requires strong independent judgment and decision-making, with performance evaluated through reports, meetings, and project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Construction; minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public or commercial building, facility and construction administration,

OR
  • An unrelated Bachelor's Degree; minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in public or commercial building, facility and construction administration,

OR
  • An Associate's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Construction; minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in public or commercial building, facility and construction administration,

OR
  • An unrelated Associate's Degree; minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in public or commercial building, facility and construction administration,

OR
  • Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification; minimum of nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience in public or commercial building, facility and construction administration.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience with administration of governmental procurement processes,
  • Experience with plan review,
  • Contractor's License,
  • Architectural License, and
  • Engineering License.
