Job Description
FCA is looking for an experienced, energized Project Manager to join our New Haven, CT-based team. This is a great opportunity for a thoughtful project leader who enjoys bringing people together, building strong client relationships, and guiding architecture projects from early planning through successful completion.
In this role, you will be part of a friendly, collaborative environment where communication, accountability, mentoring, and shared problem-solving are valued. You will work closely with clients, consultants, firm leadership, and internal project teams to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet project goals, budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
What You'll Do
• Lead architecture projects from planning and design through documentation, construction administration, and closeout.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, deliverables, and overall project performance.
• Serve as a key client contact, providing clear communication, proactive coordination, and responsive problem-solving.
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.
• Support quality, technical coordination, documentation standards, and design intent throughout each project phase.
• Mentor team members and help foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented project environment.
Job Requirements
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture required.
• Architectural registration strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience working with an architectural firm (higher education, healthcare, mixed-use residential, and/or workplace experience preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience focused on project management.
• Strong understanding of design, documentation, construction administration, and project delivery requirements.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, life safety principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or related design, coordination, and documentation tools preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, client management, collaboration, mentoring, organization, and problem-solving skills.
