Position Summary

Zachry Underground & Utility Services is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for the overall success of underground utility construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, cost control, safety, quality, and client satisfaction. This position works closely with Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and municipal agencies to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

The Project Manager plays a key role in leading project teams, managing financial performance, overseeing project controls, coordinating resources, administering contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with owners and stakeholders for water, sewer, drainage, and utility infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the overall execution of underground utility construction projects
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls
  • Maintain relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Administer contracts and manage project changes, claims, and change orders
  • Lead project planning, reporting, and project review activities
  • Coordinate project staffing, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources
  • Monitor project safety, quality, production, and financial performance
  • Mentor and develop project engineers and field personnel
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, permits, and contractual requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
