Qualifications

• 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or construction science or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of solid experience in construction design, finance, and management
• Proficient project management skills including documentation, cost control, procurement, and scheduling
• Understanding of corporate and industry standards and their impact on projects
• OSHA-30 certification required within six months of hire
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent MS Office skills and ability to learn new software systems

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned mechanical projects alongside project superintendent
• Plan and organize project staffing and resources with regional department heads
• Establish objectives, policies, and performance standards for the project
• Coordinate with clients and A/E contacts to ensure smooth construction activities
• Negotiate and prepare subcontracts for project execution
• Control project development through oversight of the on-site superintendent and master schedule
• Manage financial aspects including costs, billings, and maintaining positive client relations
