Full Job Description
We're Hiring: Project Manager - Mechanical Construction

Location: Norristown, PA (Field-Based Role) | Base Salary: $95,000-$115,000/year | Full-Time

What You'll Get:

  • $95,000-$115,000 base salary, based on capability and experience
  • Performance-based incentive compensation tied to project execution and operational performance
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • Health insurance + retirement plan
  • Paid holidays + PTO
  • Direct involvement in estimating, operations, field leadership, and project execution strategy
  • Real authority to make decisions, solve problems, and influence how projects are executed

Position Summary:

This is a field construction management role.

As a Project Manager, you'll lead commercial HVAC and kitchen ventilation projects from kickoff through closeout. You'll manage field execution, coordinate crews and subcontractors, work directly with GCs and other trades, and maintain control of schedule, manpower, quality, and customer communication across multiple active projects.

You'll be expected to identify problems early, make decisions quickly, and keep projects moving without waiting for permission or excessive oversight.

This role is built for someone with a strong trades or mechanical construction background who is comfortable operating on active job sites and understands construction sequencing, field conditions, and real-world installation challenges.

If your experience is primarily administrative, documentation-heavy, or office-only project management, this will not be a fit.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead commercial HVAC and kitchen ventilation projects from kickoff through closeout
  • Manage field crews, subcontractors, schedules, material flow, and coordination with other trades
  • Walk active job sites, identify issues early, and drive resolution before they impact schedule or quality
  • Review drawings, verify field conditions, and maintain alignment between design, fabrication, and installation
  • Keep projects moving through field leadership, coordination, and fast problem resolution

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years in commercial HVAC, mechanical construction, sheet metal, or related trades
  • Proven experience managing active construction projects and field operations
  • Ability to read drawings, understand construction sequencing, and adapt to changing field conditions
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and accountability under pressure
  • Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred, not required; valid driver's license required

Work Environment:

This is a physical, field-based construction management role.

You'll regularly work on active construction sites, rooftops, mechanical rooms, kitchens, and renovation environments throughout the Greater Philadelphia region and surrounding Tri-State area. The role involves walking job sites, climbing ladders, navigating unfinished buildings, and working around active trades and operating facilities.

Candidates must be comfortable operating in fast-moving construction environments where conditions change daily and problems must be solved in real time.

Not a Desk PM.

This role is for someone who wants to run work, lead people, solve problems, and drive outcomes in the field.

High performers in this role will have direct influence over field operations, execution standards, and how projects get built.

If you need rigid structure, constant oversight, or heavily layered corporate processes, this will not be a fit.
