Description:
Marathon TS is seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) to lead a trusted defense contractor's large-scale technical and analytical programs. This role supports the planning, organizing, and controlling of all project activities while ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and performance requirements.
The PM will manage multiple concurrent DoD-related tasks, facilitate communication with internal/external stakeholders, maintain project schedules and documentation, and support overall program execution.
Strong experience leading or supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs is required. The PM must be able to track costs, schedule, deliverables, and risk while guiding technical teams and maintaining alignment with mission objectives.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage mid- to large-scale DoD projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.
  • Supervise and coordinate project personnel and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Track cost, schedule, and performance, and report status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, status reports, and project documentation.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation actions.
  • Ensure that functional and technical specifications meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with business development and technical staff to support proposals and new opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat work.

Required Experience:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Management, or related field.
  • Proven record of managing DoW (DoD) mid- to large-scale projects and technically complex efforts.
  • Experience supervising project personnel and leading integrated project teams.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and strong analytical skills with proven results.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the federal contracting process.
  • Experience with DoD Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs is a plus.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with proposal writing and developing effective presentations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and strong follow-through on initiatives.

Certifications (Required):
PMI PMP Certification or equivalent PM certification


Clearance Requirement:
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD security clearance.
