ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Manager IV is responsible for implementing Yellow Brick's design, transition, and activation planning processes and tools to successfully complete project deliverables within established budgets, schedules, and contractual requirements. Working closely with clients and assigned Yellow Brick team members, this role oversees all phases of project execution, manages project risks, coordinates resources, and develops practical solutions to project challenges. The Project Manager serves as a key liaison between clients and project teams, ensuring quality delivery while supporting business growth, client satisfaction, and team development.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead project teams, in conjunction with client leadership, to develop project goals and work plans and achieve quality, budget, schedule, innovation, and profitability objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects effectively and proactively coordinate project work based on workload.
  • Work with the Senior PM or Executive to assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on capacity, skills, and expertise.
  • Coordinate the development and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules related to the project, existing work, and resources at Yellow Brick and make recommendations for updates based on competing priorities.
  • Provide clear instructions and set expectations for each team member's role and coordinate with other team members to clarify expectations regularly.
  • Monitor progress and provide guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed successfully, including providing examples and templates to complete the task.
  • Manage project budgets and forecast each month's project hours and expenses; proactively manage peak resource use and distribute across multiple months as appropriate.
  • Track and submit project deliverables, ensuring deliverables adhere to quality standards and contractual timeframes.
  • Ensure deliverables are consistent with Yellow Brick standards and customized for client requests.
  • Communicate client objectives to team members in a clear and compelling way.
  • Monitor and coordinate reporting on project status for team calls.
  • Work with Yellow Brick Lead Project Manager to develop a risk management process to track project risks and concerns and provide recommended solutions.
  • Escalate risks appropriately to the Project Executive and provide suggested resolutions.
  • Contribute to project closeout throughout the project lifecycle by identifying successful project elements and areas for improvement and sharing them with the team.
  • Support change management strategies to increase staff engagement and adoption of new processes and technologies during the project lifecycle.
  • Understand contractual obligations to the client and project to ensure the team delivers on expectations for scope of work and required services.
  • Maintain familiarity with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle and coordinate additional review/support with appropriate Yellow Brick team members as needed.
  • Use closed-loop communication consistently to foster effective and efficient communication for each project.
  • Identify new opportunities and scope of work for Yellow Brick with existing clients and share information with Project Executive and Yellow Brick leadership team.
  • Lead, develop, and nurture close and positive relationships with the client while identifying opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and client relationships.
  • Conduct research, implement industry best practices, and share with the team.
  • Develop or improve tools as assigned for Yellow Brick projects and identify new tools or processes for adoption by Yellow Brick.
  • Adhere to all Yellow Brick, CannonDesign, and client policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality with Yellow Brick and CannonDesign property, tools, methods, and company information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent expertise and experience in the industry required, Master's degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Three or more years of healthcare project management or comparable experience preferred.
  • Lean or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience with large projects within the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies and industry standards such as AIA, ACHE, ASHE, TJC, CDPH, OSHPD, CMS, and AAMI preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Visio, Adobe PDF, Illustrator, and other data management software.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize job duties, assignments, and deliverables in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Financial acumen to manage project budgets and organizational resources.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 90% of the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours on occasion per assigned project requirements.


The salary range for this position is $94,200 to $117,800 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Based on the position status, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We have paid time off, flex-time schedules, remote work options and a 401k plan and employee perk programs.
