Full Job Description
Under the direction of the Manager, this position is responsible for leading the organization's prioritized initiatives. This includes managing project resources, schedules, financials, change, and risks, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired goals and objectives of the business.

Responsibilities

Project Management
  • Leads and oversees multiple medium and large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Develops comprehensive project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Manages all phases of project initiatives using the project management methodology while monitoring project health, project schedules, budget, resources, managing change, mitigating risk, and communicating status updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clearly define project goals, objectives, deliverables and ensure strategic alignment with organizational goals.
  • Guides business units in identifying and developing solutions for challenges and opportunities including business process reengineering, requirements definition, planning, funding approval, change and risk mitigation activities.
  • Proactively builds meaningful and trusted working relationships with sponsors/stakeholders while managing expectations around scope and value to be delivered.

Leadership and People Management
  • Leads cross-functional teams through meaningful change utilizing the project management methodology (PMM). this includes effective stakeholder management, communication, strategic planning, and active management of scope, quality, schedule, risk, and budget
  • Leads and motivates project teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Supports team members by helping them overcome challenges and achieve project milestones.

Delivery Effectiveness
  • Accountable for the timely completion of all project tasks and deliverables within scope, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Defines and manages quality standards across the project.
  • Defines key performance indicators (KPI) to measure overall project and team success.
  • Tracks project progress against metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identifies potential risks, analyzes them, and recommends appropriate mitigation strategies.

Communication Effectiveness
  • Verbally communicates and participates in facilitation of meetings, presentations, and project interactions.
  • Crafts high quality, precise and clear written communications, including project deliverables in alignment within Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) standards and formatting guidelines.
  • Monitors and communicates project progress throughout the project lifecycle to all project stakeholders.

Organizational and Personal Development
  • Develops, reviews, and updates all project management documentation / templates annually.
  • Assists with enhancing project management processes to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the practice.
  • Seeks feedback on personal performance from project team, peers, managers, and business partners.
  • Conducts post project reviews and drives lessons learned across the organization.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related study from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
  • Desired Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by Project Management Institute (PMI) and/or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certified by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
  • Minimum of 3 to 7 years of project management experience and/or business process management responsibility in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in managing medium and large-scale complex projects with IT focus.
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams and managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Banking/financial industry or related field preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability.
  • Effective conflict management, negotiating, analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills
  • Able to be flexible in a fast-paced dynamic environment with shifting roles and responsibilities. Must be technically creative and open-minded.
  • Must have a high attention to detail, be able to work under indirect supervision, and possess an above average understanding of information technology topics.
  • Able to work a hybrid work schedule. Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned. Able to commute as necessary.
