Description

Oneida Professional Services is seeking a Project Manager - Information Technology to support the Defense Information School (DINFOS) Technology & Logistics Support Services contract at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position serves as the technical and operational lead for information technology initiatives supporting DINFOS academic, administrative, and mission-support environments.

The successful candidate will oversee IT operations, technology modernization efforts, and systems integration activities while providing strategic guidance on current and emerging technologies. The Project Manager will coordinate with government stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to ensure reliable, secure, and effective delivery of IT services and solutions.

*This position is contingent on the award of a federal contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage information technology projects supporting DINFOS operational and academic requirements.
  • Provide oversight of system administration, network engineering, service desk operations, and academic systems integration activities.
  • Evaluate existing IT infrastructure and recommend improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend current and emerging technologies to support mission requirements and future growth.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and sustainment of on-premises and cloud-based IT environments.
  • Coordinate technical teams and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of projects and operational initiatives.
  • Monitor project schedules, deliverables, risks, and resource requirements in accordance with established project management practices.
  • Develop technical reports, project documentation, status updates, and recommendations for government leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, organizational, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Serve as the primary interface between government personnel and contractor technical teams for assigned projects and initiatives.


Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Four-year degree or equivalent documented experience as an Information Technology Project Manager.
  • Extensive experience managing information technology projects and technical teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of information technology disciplines, including system administration, network engineering, service desk operations, and systems integration.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting both on-premises and cloud-based IT infrastructures.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and procedures.
  • Experience evaluating technologies and developing recommendations for modernization and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Foundational qualification for DoD 8140 Work Role: IT Project Manager (802).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, military training, or educational environments.
  • Experience leading cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, or enterprise IT transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Experience supporting academic technology platforms and instructional environments.
