Job Description:
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for delivering quality service and solutions to customers by understanding their needs and effectively managing RIS/PACS informatics software implementation and upgrade projects. This position provides leadership and support to Implementation Services project teams, PMO management and leadership teams by monitoring project plans, aligning resources, and seeing projects through successful completions. This position also assists with overseeing best practices in managing interrelated projects and programs to ensure successful delivery of projects.
Principle Functions:
- Define/develop rollout plans and oversee execution according to best practices
- Maintain transparent visibility of project status, issues, direction and decisions while establishing themself as a trusted adviser
- Understand technologies and discuss solutions at a high level
- Provide solution options to project challenges with clear business justification
- Provide clear and concise communications at all levels
- Coordinate efforts across large groups and resolve conflicts
- Facilitate meetings with clear objectives and action items
- Communicate technical issues to non-technical groups effectively
- Keep stakeholders informed of critical issues and updates
- Lead post go-live lessons learned exercises
- Monitor third-party vendors and internal staff
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude
- Travel to customer sites as necessary (
Essential Experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years of project management experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Healthcare Life Science, or equivalent
- Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams)
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in IT and/or Healthcare (RIS/EMR, PACS)
- Knowledge of HL7/DICOM integration methods (preferred)
- Formal Project Management training (preferred)
- Public speaking to both small and large audiences
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure or in high pressure situations
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task (as needed), and understanding of sense of urgency
- Ability to produce executive-level reporting
