$47.50 - $71.25

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: B.A. or B.S. degree in Health Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline with 4 years of experience in healthcare or academic design and construction required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: The Center for Health Design Evidence-Based Accreditation and Certification, and/or The American Society of Healthcare Engineers Certified Healthcare Constructor preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Leads project teams; teaches, mentors and coaches others
2. Develops, organizes, leads, and participates in teams, internally and externally
3. Develops, monitors, and achieves the scope, budget and schedule of single or multiple projects and/or project portfolios of medium to high complexity and/or is part of a larger project team led by another PDC position
4. Builds organizational capabilities; conducts strategic planning.
5. Develops departmental plans, including business, production, operational and/or organizational priorities.
6. Incorporates strategic master facility plan information into project development
7. Leads the design & construction process as the owner representative
8. Develops and monitors benchmarking and performance indicators
9. Produces, obtains and organizes project documentation
10. Develops, sets, monitors and achieves goals
11. Procures and manages external resources
12. Applies current design, construction and project management methodologies and techniques
13. Follows legal and contractual processes
14. Leverages technology to support project delivery
15. Develops, implements and manages design standards
16. Reads, evaluates and interprets design documents
17. Performs other duties as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Communicates clearly and effectively

4. Proficient use project management technologies; MS Office, PDF editors, scheduling applications, internet and collaboration platforms

6. Familiar with typical design and construction contract instruments and legal considerations
7. Understand process improvement fundamentals and their application
8. Take initiative and works independently but also collaboratively
9. Knowledge of the healthcare and research environment to support effective healthcare and research delivery

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work environment consists of four main work locations:

1. Remote or home office
2. On-site office
3. Construction job-site trailer
4. Construction job sites including outdoors, on active construction sites, and in renovation spaces.

Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for a major portion of the day. Must be able to climb ladders, kneel, crouch and turn in awkward positions to observe work and conditions. Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven or unstable platforms. Must have corrected vision be able to sense vibrations and smells. Must have sensitivity to heat and cold.
