Description

We design and build retail store fixtures for leading brands-custom, project-based work that requires precise coordination among project management, design, engineering, sourcing, production, and installation to deliver on time and on spec. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager II to lead mid-to-large-scale projects from initiation through completion, ensuring each project meets client expectations for quality, schedule, scope, and budget.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for the client while coordinating cross-functional teams throughout the full project lifecycle. You will own project timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder communication, keeping internal teams and external partners aligned from kickoff through final delivery.

This role requires someone who can see both the big picture and the critical details-an organized, proactive project leader who builds strong relationships, anticipates challenges, and effectively manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment.

Project Planning and Coordination
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, scope, resources, and milestones, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with various departments or teams to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and that resources are allocated accordingly.

Project Team Leadership and Collaboration
  • Lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective execution of project tasks.
  • Delegate responsibilities to project support team members and ensure tasks and expectations are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Foster a positive team environment, encouraging open communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Client and Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as the main project management point of contact for project execution on assigned projects for clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other key stakeholders.

Risk and Issue Management
  • Proactively identify potential risks and issues that could impact assigned projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Address any challenges or roadblocks in the project, ensuring the team remains on track to meet deadlines and deliverables.

Budget and Resource Management
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring the project is completed within financial constraints.
  • Ensure that the project has the necessary materials to meet deadlines.

Scheduling and Time Management
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust project schedules to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within the project scope.
  • Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met by closely monitoring cross functional teams progress and adjusting resources or timelines as needed.

Quality Assurance and Deliverable Management
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and quality standards.
  • Monitor project performance and take corrective actions when necessary to maintain project quality and integrity.
  • Reporting and Documentation
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, timelines, budgets, and potential risk issues.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management, stakeholders, and clients, highlighting progress, risks, and any issues.

Process Improvement
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of project management methodologies, tools, and processes, incorporating lessons learned from previous projects to improve efficiency and performance.

Project Closure
  • Lead the closure of projects, ensuring that all deliverables are completed, clients are satisfied, and all documentation is finalized.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify strengths and areas for improvement for future projects.

Additional Duties
  • Assist with the development of project coordinators and project managers, providing mentoring and guidance to support their growth.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that resources and timelines are effectively balanced.
