PROJECT MANAGER I, II or Senior Project ManagerTHE POSITIONThe Development Project Manager manages and coordinates airport planning, design, and construction projects. Responsibilities may include managing facility, airfield, roadway, utility, infrastructure, repair, and renovation projects from initial planning through construction and project closeout.
We welcome applicants with a range of project management experience. The selected candidate may be hired as a Project Manager I, Project Manager II, or Senior Project Manager based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated level of project management responsibility.
Some of the position duties include:- Manage and coordinate airport capital improvement, repair, renovation, and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, tenants, regulatory agencies, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project planning, design, procurement, permitting, construction administration, and closeout activities.
- Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, bid documents, specifications, contracts, and related documentation.
- Review construction plans, specifications, contracts, reports, and other project documents.
- Conduct site visits and monitor construction activities for compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Coordinate permitting, grant, regulatory, environmental, safety, and construction phasing requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records and provide timely project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Responsibilities and level of independence will vary based on the selected candidate's experience and position classification.
REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, project management, planning, business administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Relevant project management, construction, engineering, architecture, planning, or related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, budgets, schedules, and other project-related documents.
- Working knowledge of project planning, construction administration, permitting, budgeting, scheduling, and project documentation.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn project management and other Authority business systems.
- Airport, aviation, public-sector, grant-funded construction, or infrastructure experience preferred.
- PMP, CCM, PgMP, or similar professional certification preferred.
- Valid Florida driver's license with driving record meeting Authority standards required.
Starting Salary Range: $96,348 - $120,771This range reflects the starting salaries for the Project Manager I, Project Manager II, and Senior Project Manager classifications. Position level and starting salary will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
