Full Job Description
As a member of the ICT Project Management team, the Project Manager is responsible for managing all project activities related to the selection and implementation of information systems and technology that are part of Halton Healthcare's Digital Roadmap. This is a key role that provides coordination, communication, and control functions in the delivery of both projects and portfolio strategy. Systems implemented will run the gamut from department-specific clinical systems to corporate-wide 'back-office' software suites.
Working under the direction of the Senior Project Manager - ICT, this position will conduct project management activities including but not limited to:
- Overseeing all elements of project implementation, as well as supporting implementation of all necessary processes and practices to ensure initiatives are delivered according to the required scope, budget, and timeline.
- Participating and supporting working groups/committees to support project governance and the achievement of project deliverables and fostering successful change;
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress, issues and solutions to stakeholders and escalating issues as appropriate;
- Supporting interprofessional stakeholders through all phases of the project life cycle while simultaneously providing coaching, motivation and guidance throughout the duration of the project;
- Working with interprofessional stakeholders to analyze projects for needs assessment, system selection and/or process reengineering (including process mapping), leveraging available technology as appropriate.
- Creating and implementing change management, and project plans that maximize employee engagement, supporting smooth adoption of changes impacting employees and the organization;
- Engaging and communicating with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood.
- Directing and guiding more junior project staff who may be accountable for aspects of assigned projects.
Qualifications

Additionally, this role requires:
- At minimum, completion of a Bachelor degree in health/life sciences, engineering or business administration field/recognized equivalent. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or Certificate is required.
- Must have at least 5 years of extensive project management experience, ranging from small to large complex projects.
- The ability to understand and undertake a wide variety of projects with a broad range of focus.
- Lean/process improvement certification, with experience with process mapping events an asset.
- Someone who is self-motivated, with an ability to work independently and integrate well as a member of a variety of teams.
- Experience leading the implementation of IT systems within a healthcare setting, business support systems, or Network Infrastructure installations is considered a strong asset.
- Flexibility and able to enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to liaise with a broad range of individuals from clinical and professional staff to external stakeholders.
- Ability to anticipate and take timely and appropriate action to address actual or potential issues which could place project schedules at risk
- Excellent Verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze and synthesis complex contracts and other project related documents.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills with the ability to maintain a positive outlook.
- Excellent Organizational, conceptual and strategic thinking skills and abilities.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, database management, project management software.
Additional Information
Status: Temporary Full-Time (Approx. 12 months)
Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800 - 1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $54.219 to $67.800 per hour
