Full Job Description
WQS Non-Destructive Testing is searching for a project-based NDT Project Manager to join our team! As the NDT Project Manager, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing and coordinating the successful execution of an assigned turnaround project. You will be responsible for supporting field execution, workforce coordination, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction while ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Site Supervisor, you will help drive project success and provide general site support as required. What You Will Do
  • Ensure crews are properly staffed, equipped, mobilized, and prepared to execute work effectively, including coordinating personnel, equipment, materials, and transportation logistics.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily field operations for NDT and related service activities associated with the assigned project, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in alignment with client expectations.
  • Provide operational leadership, guidance, mentorship, and direct supervision to field personnel and site leads, including scheduling, task coordination, onboarding, training, coaching, and workforce planning support.
  • Conduct regular field observations to monitor operational effectiveness, compliance, safety performance, and changing project requirements.
  • Act as a primary operational contact for the assigned project, maintaining strong working relationships with clients and communicating project updates, operational challenges, and resource requirements to the Site Supervisor and leadership team as required.
  • Coordinate the deployment, utilization, maintenance, inspection, and repair of NDT equipment, vehicles, trailers, tools, consumables, and other field assets to ensure operational readiness for the project.
  • Ensure all work activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulatory and safety standards while promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Support the Site Supervisor with overall site initiatives and operational requirements as needed to contribute to the successful execution of the turnaround event.

What You Will Bring
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience within Non-Destructive Testing, industrial services, oil sands, or construction environments is considered an asset.
  • Must be Fit for Duty at all times and able to comply with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace, including alcohol and drug testing.
  • Strong understanding of field operations, workforce coordination, and project execution.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing operational requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with NDT equipment, industrial field operations, and asset coordination is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clients, field teams, the Site Supervisor, and leadership.
