The Role

Ready to kickstart your consulting career at AstraZeneca? As a Project Manager in Global Business Services – Project Services, you'll take charge of managing projects within a supportive partner organization, ensuring they meet customer goals and follow the right processes.  

Your role will focus on providing outstanding customer service through clear communication and professionalism, always aiming to go above and beyond what customers expect. You'll also use your problem-solving skills to turn complex information into easy-to-understand action plans. Plus, you'll have the chance to work and learn with our Directors and Senior Managers in collaborative communities of practice.  

What you will do

  • Project and Initiative Management: Take charge of project deliverables by organizing tasks and keeping track of progress to ensure everything stays on schedule. Help set up and follow project processes to ensure team members stay aligned and accountable to project goals.  

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Embrace innovation and continuous improvement on your projects and within the team to enhance service offerings.  

  • Change Management: Support cross-functional, change initiatives that experience some ambiguity in mobilizing while considering the customer’s environment, stakeholder needs, and desired future state. Analyze change impacts and stakeholder effects resulting from transformation initiatives. 

  • Problem Solving and Execution: Break down complex ideas into simple, actionable insights that can guide customers and the team towards successful outcomes.  

  • Customer Engagement: Actively participate in project sessions, interacting with customers to understand their needs and deliver excellent service.  

  • Quality Assurance: Aim to exceed customer expectations by delivering high-quality work and seeking feedback for improvement.  

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team, supporting as a key member and stepping up to lead when needed.  

  • Clear Communication: Maintain open and professional communication channels with customers and team members to foster strong working relationships. 

  • Continuous Learning: Engage with Directors and Sr. Managers in communities of practice to enhance your skills and contribute to team success.  

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, change management, business or technology consulting    

  

Desirable for the role

  • Graduate degree with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant project/change management or consulting experience 

  • Pharmaceutical or equivalent global organization experience in a consulting role

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 94,956.80 to 124,630.80.

AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.  In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.

In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).  Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
