Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a remote Project Manager in Louisville, KY to support the dormakaba product lines within our Airport Division & Secured Entry Division (ESC), including coordination with Field Service. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of new installation and site modernization projects following contract award, from project initiation through completion. This role will coordinate closely with customers, Sales, Field Service, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within contract budget, and in accordance with customer expectations, project requirements, and dormakaba standards.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $90,000 - $120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do
  • Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity while coordinating activities with appropriate vendors, subcontractors, branch staff, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure a smooth and effective transition of projects from the Sales team to the Project Fulfillment team, ensuring all required information, scope, documentation, and customer expectations are clearly communicated
  • Develop comprehensive project plans by establishing timelines, resource requirements, staffing, funding, milestones, and project schedules
  • Establish and achieve project financial objectives by developing budgets, scheduling and approving expenditures, analyzing budget variances, and initiating corrective actions as needed
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements while ensuring subcontractors meet required qualifications, licensing, insurance, safety, and quality standards


What we require
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of project management experience, or 2+ years of relevant project management experience with a bachelor's degree
  • Strong working knowledge of new construction processes, project coordination, and jobsite activities
  • Working knowledge and experience with CRM systems and project management tools
  • Valid, unrestricted state-issued driver's license and valid, unrestricted passport required for occasional travel within the U.S. and Canada
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% annually throughout the United States and Travel up to 30% annually within the US and Canada

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • PMP certificate
  • Working knowledge of electronics is required; experience with access control, entrance systems, security solutions, or systems integration is strongly preferred.
