ABOUT YOU ARCO Design/Build is currently looking for an experienced Electrical/MEP Project Manager to join our team based in Charleston, SC. The Project Manager will play a key role as part of the General Services Charleston (Self Perform Team for ARCO Design/Build) team in delivering turnkey power solutions to our clients. This person will have the opportunity to lead managerial and administrative aspects of GSC projects including; estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review/coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.

A DAY IN THE LIFE- Create competitive, accurate, and timely project cost estimates and preliminary schedules for large pipeline of general electrical and renewable energy system construction projects
- Thoroughly investigate the specifications, scope of work, drawings, and other RFP documents to develop a complete understanding of the RFP requirements. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the contract documents and the potential risks for a project
- Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
- Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
- Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
- Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
- Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
- Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
- Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS - BS in Engineering or related field; with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
- 2-5 years of electrical construction management or engineering design experience
- Previous light industrial, manufacturing, or commercial project experience required
- Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects and/or P6 preferred
- Ability to travel nationwide as needed
