JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager I will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, focusing on delivering agreed scope within defined timelines and budget. This role ensures project success, meets acceptance criteria, and enhances customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Identify key stakeholders and maintain positive business relationships.
Maintain regular communication with customers, understanding and addressing their needs.
Define project activities, responsibilities, critical milestones, resources, skills, interfaces, and budget.
Optimize costs and time utilization, minimize waste, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and with high quality.
Anticipate and manage project risks using appropriate strategies and develop contingency plans.
Implement defined governance models for projects.
Track and report project KPIs and analyze project health.
Implement software delivery methodologies to improve project KPIs.
Adopt and build software engineering best practices.
Conduct requirements analysis, elicitation, scope control, and prioritization.
Drive the creation of common standards and artifacts (e.g., design documents, traceability matrices).
Partner with customers to define and elicit requirements.
Conduct impact analysis of scope changes and negotiate prioritization.
Consolidate and validate estimates at a solution level, including risks and assumptions.
Conduct resource planning and analyze the impact of changes on estimates and resource loading.
Identify necessary roles and skills for project execution.
Plan, manage, and track multiple small projects or modules.
Identify and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Manage schedule delays and dependencies.
Identify options to fast-track schedules.
Proactively identify and track dependencies impacting project KPIs.
Identify, document, communicate, and track project risks and issues.
Define RACI charts and communication plans.
Support system integration testing (functional/technical).
Review and mentor teams during test execution.
Support the definition of test strategies and scenarios.
Understand the business impact of defects, prioritize them, and participate in defect triage meetings.
Identify and analyze root causes of defects.
Define and adopt appropriate tooling strategies for projects.
Guide teams in developing efficient and high-quality work products.
Ensure process compliance and mentor team members.
Tailor quality guidelines to meet specific project requirements.
Understand how proposed solutions meet client requirements.
Map business requirements to technology requirements and manage customer expectations.
Collaborate with account managers and enabling functions to deliver value.
Present proposed solutions to customers, highlighting benefits.
Carve out simple solutions or Proof of Concepts (POCs).
Review project artifacts and assess project health.
Share best practices and learnings.
Adopt learnings and reusable methodologies/tools from other projects.
Implement a framework for assessing team skill levels and develop skill enhancement plans.
Nurture innovation within the team.
Provide feedback and enable team independence and growth.
Experience
Experience in structured project management methodologies (e.g., agile techniques).
Experience with estimation techniques.
Experience with metrics analysis and quantitative management.
Experience with root cause analysis.
Experience in people management, including goal setting, growth aspects, and coaching.
