DescriptionCesapeake Controls is looking for a
Project Manager to oversee building automation and controls projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple projects from contract award through closeout.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Coordinate engineering, purchasing, field labor, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project costs, change orders, and overall profitability.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to customers and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
- Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions.
- Support the successful turnover of completed projects to the service team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in construction, HVAC, controls, or building automation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office; project management software experience is a plus.
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage project budgets and profitability.
