Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Project Manager who is a motivated, positive and dependable team player to join our team of Resource Professionals within the Capital Projects Department.

The Project Manager, Capital Projects, provides leadership to operational forestry teams while managing a diverse portfolio of projects and building strong client relationships. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role oversees project planning and execution, technical direction, cost control, and scheduling while ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

In the context of leading capital forestry projects, the role also drives the successful delivery of complex, high-value initiatives, coordinating cross-functional resources, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring projects align with strategic business objectives and sustainable forest management practices. The Project Manager supervises field crews, contractors, and consultants, provides performance leadership to small teams; and delivers professional outputs such as reporting, permitting, and data analysis.

This position can be based in either our North Vancouver, Squamish or Chilliwack, BC office.

Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing capital projects portfolio, guiding project decisions regarding technical approach, cost implications and project scheduling
  • Taking responsibility for project execution, and oversight of forestry team members, sub-contractors, and consultants to ensure the highest quality of work is provided to our clients
  • Ensuring work meets the established standards for quality control and for safety
  • Communicating directly with clients as it relates to project inquiries and updates
  • Managing team's schedules, time off requests, overtime approvals and performance reviews
  • Preparing peer review, reports, professional assessments, and permit applications
  • Overseeing and supporting field duties.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of project management experience related to capital forestry operations and/or access development and infrastructure clearing
  • RPF or RFT designation is mandatory
  • Excellent leadership abilities and experience managing a team
  • Strong Professional communication skills
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driving Licence
  • Experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs
  • Physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in diverse and demanding conditions.

Compensation:
  • The hourly range is between $40-$48 and will be commensurate with experience.
