Position Summary:Provide knowledge, leadership, and management to complete building construction projects safely, profitability and in accordance with the contract documents.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:- Adhere to all Company Safety Policies and the Company Code of Conduct.
- Lead all phases of project delivery from preconstruction through closeout and warranty.
- Develop and manage project execution plans, logistics strategies, procurement plans, and staffing plans.
- Maintain overall responsibility for project safety, quality, schedule, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Develop, monitor, and update project budgets, cost forecasts, cost-to-complete projections, and cash flow analyses.
- Administer owner contracts, subcontract agreements, change orders, claims, and project correspondence.
- Lead project planning, constructability reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering efforts.
- Coordinate activities of project team members, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead project meetings and provide timely communication regarding project status, risks, and recovery plans.
- Identify and resolve project issues before they significantly impact cost, schedule, quality, or client relationships.
- Support business development pursuits, proposal preparation, client interviews, and relationship development activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contract requirements, safety programs, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and implementation of construction technology and best practices.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and relentless improvement.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise Project Superintendent and other company employees and subcontractors.
Hiring Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive construction management experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
- Demonstrated success independently managing projects between $5M-$10M.
- Experience with GMP, negotiated, hard bid, and design-build project delivery methods.
- Proven record of successful client relationship management and repeat business development.
- Vital; superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, empathy, etc.)
- Construction Supervisor License (CSL) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Demonstrable proficiency utilizing common scheduling software (P6, Microsoft Project etc.)
- OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
- Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
