Binnie is looking for a Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Langley Division, which provides professional civil engineering services for local municipalities. Typical projects include road and utility improvements and replacements, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control. This role is based out of our Langley office, but the work locations may vary across the Lower Mainland.

You will work with our experienced Senior Project Managers and our talented engineering team to ensure we meet our client needs. This is an excellent opportunity for advancement. You will utilize your excellent client networking and business development skills to secure new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients.

YOUR ROLE:
  • Engaging in active business development
  • Acting as the key contact on projects working with stakeholders, consultants, contractors and support staff
  • Preparing proposals and reports in coordination with our proposal team (under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager)
  • Evaluate RFPs and support documents to define scope and schedule parameters, risk profile and contract requirements with the supervising Senior Project Manager. Lead Go/No-Go meetings
  • Developing project schedules and coordinating resources
  • Monitoring budget and progress on projects
  • Maintain regular communications with clients, including progress updates, timely responses to inquiries and potential scope/budget/schedule change
  • Providing mentoring to less experienced Assistant Project Managers and guidance to the project team


WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a relevant industry, local experience in municipal engineering projects preferred.
  • At least one year of exposure to project management with a solid understanding of project management principles and processes including overseeing accountability of project delivery metric
  • Previous experience leading projects through the construction phase is considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity and knowledge with the MMCD
  • Progressive experience in client management in a professional consulting environment, including resolving conflict with internal and external stakeholders
  • Post-secondary education and/or credentials such as P.Eng., AScT or equivalent preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle
  • Solid design experience and progressive project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience; the salary range for this position is $108,965 - $161,600 annually. The final salary for this role may vary based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
