Project Manager

The Opportunity

As a Project Manager you will provide technical support to the property managers and will be accountable for overall project planning, tendering and construction management for the assigned commercial portfolio.

What You Will Do

  • Manage capital, landlord, construction, and tenant fit-out projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Act as theOwner's Representative, protecting the owner's interests while ensuring projects meet company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and executecapital improvement programsto enhance property and portfolio value.
  • Coordinate consultants, engineers, contractors, Leasing, Property Management, and Project Management teams to successfully deliver project scopes.
  • Overseebudgeting and financial controls, including scopes, cost tracking, forecasting, variances, capital approvals, tender analyses, and project payments.
  • Managetendering, procurement, and contract administration, including CCDC agreements, bonding, RFQs/RFPs, and contractor documentation.
  • Monitor project quality, safety, progress, and compliance through site inspections, construction meetings, and regular project reviews.
  • Ensure all requiredpermits, municipal approvals, close-out documents, and as-built recordsare obtained and properly maintained.
  • Provide regularproject and financial reportingto internal and external stakeholders, while identifying and resolving issues or disputes.
  • Deliver strongclient and stakeholder service, drive process improvements, and support the organization's sustainability and corporate social responsibility objectives.


Who You Are

Key Qualifications

  • Education Post-secondary degree or diplomain a related field (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar).
  • Experience: 5+ yearsof experience in project management or project coordination withincommercial or industrial construction.
  • Licences / Certifications: PMP asset
  • Industry / Functional Knowledge:
    • Strong technical skills, with the ability to read blueprints and specifications.
    • Knowledge ofcontract administration, procurement processes, and construction best practices.
    • Owner's Representative - asset
  • Proficiency inMS Office Suite;
  • Yardi Construction Manageris an asset;
  • AutoCAD is an asset
