Full Job Description
EMPLOYER: NDT Global LLC JOB TITLE: Project Lead, Data Analysis (multiple openings) LOCATION: Houston, TX (hybrid role, may work from home) DUTIES: Lead and manage end-to-end data analysis projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and compliance with contractual and customer specifications. Analyze, interpret, and validate ultrasonic in-line inspection (ILI) data to identify pipeline defects, anomalies, fittings, and features. Produce, review, and edit technical inspection reports in accordance with assessment codes, interaction rules, sentencing requirements, and customer-specific reporting standards. Ensure compliance with customer contractual requirements including non-standard reporting conditions, clustering, sentencing, and special report provisions. Coordinate with data analysts temporarily assigned to support the project, allocate project-specific analytical workloads, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with applicable project timelines and internal processes. Perform data quality assessments to verify accuracy, consistency, and integrity of ultrasonic inspection data. Plan and execute data preparation and processing parameters for ultrasonic datasets. Correlate and integrate multi-source data to ensure accurate pipeline feature alignment and reporting. Validate Above Ground Markers and generate accurate location reference listings. Communicate technical findings to internal stakeholders and external customers. Provide technical support to customers including in-field feature verification and resolution of customer inquiries regarding data analysis outcomes. Update and maintain databases containing customer and inspection-related information. Mentor and train junior and mid-level data analysts. Make evidence-based technical decisions to ensure analytical accuracy, risk evaluation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Contribute to continuous improvement of data analysis workflows and reporting methodologies. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field; and 5 years of experience in the job offered or as an Ultrasonic ILI Data Analyst, Data Analysis Lead, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years using data analysis and reporting software applications Orion and Hermes; and 1 year in each of the following: pipeline in-line inspection (ILI) shear wave level 3 data analysis and reporting in compliance with ANSI/ASNT ILI PQ and Pipeline Integrity Management codes & standards, ultrasonic ILI data quality assessment, data analysis threshold configuration and defect interaction rules for ultrasonic ILI crack detection, multi-source historic pipeline data correlation and integration, and technical inspection report preparation, issuing, approval and delivery.
