Project Engineer A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview) The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in the design and execution of Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) EPC projects, utilizing extensive technical expertise to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical systems. This position involves developing project design criteria and creating comprehensive design packages that guide the construction and operation of substations. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales and project management, to address potential challenges and provide innovative solutions. With a strong emphasis on adhering to industry standards and best practices, the Substation Engineer is instrumental in delivering projects on time and within budget, while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance. What You Bring (requirements) Confirmed Experience: 2-5 years in engineering roles within AIS/GIS Substations EPC. Technical Proficiency: Understanding of high voltage AIS/GIS equipment and electrical engineering principles. Project Engineering Skills: Proficient in engineering design, analysis, and implementation, including the ability to develop and review technical documentation and specifications. Design & Analysis: Ability to create and evaluate engineering designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Problem Solving: Analytical skills to identify and resolve engineering challenges effectively. Collaboration & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders. EHS Compliance: Experience ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance in engineering practices. Education & Certification: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and relevant certifications, with hands-on experience in HV-Substation design and construction. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
