Building Automation Project Engineer
The Building Automation Project Engineer supports the design, execution, and delivery of BMS and HVAC control projects. This role collaborates with clients and internal teams to develop automation solutions, assists with system design and programming, and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Experience in building automation systems is required, with preference for candidates from industrial, life sciences, or pharmaceutical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Project Managers in planning and executing BMS projects
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to meet project requirements
• Assist in system design, programming, and documentation (DDC/PLC, HMI)
• Manage project schedules, materials, and on-site activities
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and system testing
• Support instrumentation setup, coordinate calibration services, and system troubleshooting
• Provide technical troubleshooting during implementation and post-installation
• Communicate project progress and support overall team coordination
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or 4-6 years equivalent experience)
• Required: Hands-on experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) or controls
• Preferred: Experience in industrial automation, life sciences, or pharmaceutical projects
• Experience with industrial instrumentation, sensors, and calibration processes highly desired
• Proficiency in MS Office and project collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet)
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
