Full Job Description
OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY

The Project Engineer II is an internal facing position responsible for creating post-sales engineering deliverables for AV projects, and supporting projects through their entire life cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Review complex scopes of work, site information and bills of materials.
• Generate signal flow and requirements drawings in compliance with Cenero and industry best practices using AutoCAD.
• Curate the bill of materials to be ready for purchase.
• Generate secondary engineering deliverables as needed, i.e., cable pull sheets, wire labels, BTU estimates, and sketches.
• Assist the project manager, programmer, installation team, and other project stakeholders in solving technical issues which may arise during the project process.
• Generate change orders, and update project documentation as needed.
• Advocate for a responsible use of company resources through all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Ownership of 5 to 15 concurrent projects in varying phases.
• Complete engineering efforts for $4.5M+ revenue yearly.
• Contributes to departmental and company wide best practices and procedure documentation and adherence.
• Support Sales Representatives on site visits or client calls with design-related activities, as required.
• Coordinate AV requirements with appropriate Cenero personnel.
• Professionally represent Cenero to the customer and other project contacts as needed
• Stay informed of technology trends in the AV industry
• Keep and enter accurate time sheet information.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
• Applicants should have a 2-year or 4-year college degree in a technical field.
• Applicant must have 5+ years of related AV engineering experience.
• Applicant must have knowledge of AV fundamentals and ICIA best practices.
• CTS certification is required. CTS-D is a plus.
• Manufacturing certifications required.
• Experience with installing or supporting AV equipment.

SKILLS
• Applicant must have proficiency with in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
• Master level understanding of signal flow drawings and requirements drawings.
• Understanding of how complex AV systems interconnect and operate.
• Experience with the job roles which rely on engineering deliverables.
• Applicant must have sound technical writing ability.
• Ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Applicant must be able to handle the pressure of deadlines on a regular basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is a hybrid role, but must be commutable to a Cenero office. We require 3 days in office, and 2 days working from your home office.

Our offices are located in Lebanon, NJ; Malvern, PA; Columbia, MD: Charlotte, NC; and Richardson, TX.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents including product specifications, wiring diagrams, and architectural drawings

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of modern algebra and equations.

COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY

The salary range for an Project Engineer 2 can range from $81,500 to $119,750 per year. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range. Individual pay is determined by different factors, including work experience, geographic location, job-related skills, education level, position specific technical certifications, and additional trainings completed. All health and wellness benefits will begin on Day 1 of employment. There is no mandatory 90-day waiting period
