Position Overview

The Project Engineer will support the Engineering Project Manager in the planning, coordination, monitoring, and execution of engineering activities for project. The role focuses on day-to-day management of multidisciplinary engineering activities performed by internal engineering teams and external engineering contractors, ensuring engineering deliverables are developed, reviewed, issued, and tracked in accordance with project schedules, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.

The successful candidate will serve as the focal point for engineering coordination, engineering RFIs, deliverable management, interfaces, action tracking, reporting, and communication between project stakeholders.

Key Responsibility

  • Support the EPM in coordinating daily engineering activities across multiple disciplines, including Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls.
  • Support the EPM in coordinating engineering activities between Internal engineering teams, External engineering consultants, Equipment vendors, EPC contractors, Owner representatives
  • Monitor engineering progress against approved schedules and milestones.
  • Facilitate resolution of interdisciplinary engineering issues and interface conflicts.
  • Coordinate within engineering teams on transmittals and document submissions.
  • Coordinate to ensure that engineering deliverables comply with project procedures and quality requirements.
  • Support the EPM in managing engineering Requests for Information (RFIs), Coordinate preparation and review of RFIs, Track RFI status and response times, Maintain RFI logs and action item registers, Ensure timely closure of engineering clarifications.
  • Coordinate interfaces between Engineering disciplines, Vendors, Package suppliers, Construction teams, Operations personnel, identify potential engineering gaps, inconsistencies, and assumptions, Facilitate interface meetings and follow-up actions.
  • Assist Engineering Project Manager to organize and coordinate Weekly engineering meetings, Design review meetings, Interdisciplinary coordination meetings, Client engineering meetings, Vendor technical meetings, Prepare meeting agendas, Issue meeting minutes and action registers, Track closure of assigned actions.
  • Support the EPM in preparation of weekly and monthly engineering reports.
  • Provide engineering dashboard updates to project management.
  • Assist in managing engineering changes and design modifications, maintain engineering assumptions registers, Track design decisions and approvals, Support Management of Change processes where applicable.
  • Support development and maintenance of engineering schedules, Monitor engineering critical paths and upcoming deliverables


Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of engineering or project engineering experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience coordinating P&IDs, Equipment Datasheets, Technical Specifications, Design Criteria, Basis of Design Documents, Engineering Studies, Vendor Documents, Design Review Packages.
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams effective meeting facilitation skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering coordination roles.
  • Experience on large industrial or energy infrastructure projects, preferably Power Generation, Gas Turbine Power Plants, Combined Cycle Power Plants, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Renewable Energy Projects
