The Project Engineer at Koops plans, coordinates, and executes engineering activities to deliver successful custom automation projects. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to tune, debug, and launch automated systems while resolving engineering design and testing challenges throughout the project lifecycle. This position does
not have direct reports but plays a key leadership role within the project team.
What You'll Do- Plan and coordinate engineering activities to meet project requirements
- Tune, debug, and launch custom factory automation systems
- Resolve engineering design and system integration challenges
- Work with mechanical systems, robots, sensors, motion control, pneumatics, hydraulics, and vision systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Communicate with customers to understand needs and coordinate solutions
- Support system startup and project launches across North America (10-15% travel)
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction

Education & Experience- Four-year engineering degree or equivalent applicable work experience
- 5+ years of experience working with automated manufacturing systems
