Job Description SummaryPosition Objective:
The Project Engineer I performs engineering design and calculations for excavation and structural shoring schemes in support of Sunbelts product lines. The position requires knowledge of basic structural engineering analysis and geotechnical soil properties. The Project Engineer I uses engineering principles for structural analysis and design to produce project calculations and drawings under the direction of a professional engineer.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepares calculations and drawings under the direction of a professional engineer
- Creates drawings in support of Sunbelt equipment
- Analyzes reports, project construction drawings, maps, testing data, topographical and geologic data to determine design parameters
- Interacts with customers, sales, and operations
- May be required to attend meetings or job sites with customers or sales/operations staff
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in structural or geotechnical engineering, from an accredited four (4) year university or college
- Familiarity with structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and soil analysis.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Mathcad, and AutoCAD or REVIT
Base Pay Range: $71,269.00 - 97,995.70
