Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to join our Federal Solutions team. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience leading complex federal, DoD, and industrial megaprojects from design through construction and turnover.

Parsons routinely delivers programs on secure federal installations and complex industrial sites. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to navigate multi-party environments while protecting the client's interests.

Position requires substantial on-site presence at client and federal facilities during critical project phases, with travel as needed to support design, construction, and stakeholder coordination.

This position is based near Little Rock, Arkansas and is part of a 4-5 year contract. During the first year, remote work is permitted. After the first year, the selected candidate will be required to either reside within commuting distance of Little Rock, AR or be willing to relocate to the area.

What You'll Be Doing:

Project Directors at Parsons are responsible for overall project coordination, schedule and budget control, risk management, and providing clear decision-making support to clients. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, interface with owners, designers, contractors, and stakeholders, and ensure delivery against aggressive schedules and high standards of quality and safety.

  • Provide overall project leadership and coordination for complex industrial and federal manufacturing programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and drive the integrated project schedule and budget; identify and mitigate risks.
  • Lead interface management across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client stakeholders.
  • Oversee preparation and management of procurement packages and contractor selection processes.
  • Manage on-site works execution, progress reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Support obtaining occupancy permits, taking-over certificates, and formal project closeout.
  • Provide decision-making support and strategic guidance to the client and senior management.
  • Lead risk, change, and claims management activities to protect schedule, cost, and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure effective communication and reporting to all levels of stakeholders.
  • Mentor project team members and promote continuous improvement in project delivery practices.
  • Additional office locations or hybrid arrangements may be considered upon request consistent with project demands.


What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 15+ years of experience managing federal, DoD, or industrial megaprojects of similar scope and complexity (industrial production facilities preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience leading at least three completed industrial projects that included procurement of contractors, management of on-site works, and obtaining occupancy or taking-over certificates.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong commercial, contractual, and risk-management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate across owners, designers, EPC/GC contractors, and government stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief senior and client audiences.
  • Ability and willingness to deploy to client and federal sites for extended periods during critical project phases
  • Must be able to pass a general background check.
  • Must be able to speak fluent English (ability to speak Korean is a plus)


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • PMP, CCM, or equivalent project management certification highly preferred.
  • Prior experience on defense manufacturing, ammunition/energetics, or other high-hazard process facilities.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and integrated master scheduling.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition and installation access processes.

Salary Range: $148,300.00 - $266,900.00
