SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller with a background in Finance, Budgeting and project financial reporting. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on budgets, managing actuals against original budget plans and cost to come. Key Responsibilities- Creation of initial project forecast from participation in the Sales to Contract Execution handover
- Perform complex tasks in project estimating, change documentation, and cost control
- Monthly and quarterly forecast preparation: reconciling budget versus actuals and analyzing variances, risks, and opportunity tracking
- Report to portfolio level on forecast variances and manage changes to cost on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Analyze and track change requests/variation orders received from customers
- Assist with sales planning and billings to customers
- Manage multiple projects with budgets ranging from $500K to $100MM+
- Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets/forecasts and review actual performance.
- Preparation of proposal and claim packages
- Representing the Project Manager in their absence
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience in project controls, finance, and budgeting
- Strong analytical skills and experience with financial data interpretation
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in Government Contracting is a plus
- Strong computer skills with an emphasis on MS Excel (MS Excel, Access, Word, Project, SAP)
