This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Site Coordinator to join their Project Controls team. This individual will be located in Elko NV or willing to relocate. South Jordan UT or Reno NV, will also be considered.

Your Impact

  • Liaise with Field Engineers to conduct quality control checks, including torque testing and related field inspections.
  • Liaise with Contractors to conduct quality control tests, including rebar photography documentation and verification.
  • Review daily contractor reports with respect to timesheets, expenditure tracking, and cost control compliance.
  • Monitor and report on baseline scope, cost, and schedule in alignment with project objectives.
  • Evaluate and report project progress against the approved baseline, identifying variances and trends.
  • Assist with assessing project risks on a continual basis, including cost and schedule risk analysis.
  • Escalate issues to project leadership in a timely manner and propose practical solutions for resolution.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining the project document control system to ensure accurate and compliant recordkeeping.


Who You Are

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field or equivalent; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMI-SP, AACE CCP) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project controls related functions, with the ability to work on site and experience supporting mining projects.
  • Knowledge and experience of quantity take-offs and measuring, developing and implementing robust progress tracking logs or applications.
  • Reporting & BI Tools: Demonstrated experience developing dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI or Excel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • PMIS: Experience working with and/or administering Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) such as Oracle Primavera Unifier, Procore, or similar platforms.
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to present clearly to stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Style: Self-starter who thrives in a hybrid work environment and can manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $90,000 - $100,000
